MY STORY

A veteran advisor, William (Bill) Chase brings his extensive experience to every financial conversation. The founder of the Sarasota-based Chase Financial Group is known for his subject matter expertise on estate planning strategies and advanced insurance planning techniques, though he emphasizes that his firm takes a holistic approach to financial planning. “We work with many local professionals, business owners, and their families,” Bill explains. “The only way to address the broad scope of issues we encounter is by starting out with a comprehensive plan that looks at every area of a person’s financial life,” he adds.

Planning is a perfect starting point for this advisor, who insists on working with real data. “We see too many clients overwhelmed with conflicting opinions they hear on the news,” Bill says. “You can’t verify opinions, you need facts in order to make sound financial decisions. We like to test, measure and verify,” he explains about the firm’s philosophy. A topic that makes clients particularly anxious is retirement income and distribution planning. Here, too, Bill and his team provide their experience.

Bill takes pride in the fact that many of his clients have now become good friends. “Our clients are part of our family, and we feel obligated to take the very best care of them.” With that in mind, Bill invited his son, Will, to join the practice in 2013. Will is a CPA and came to Chase Financial Group after specializing in small business taxation for nearly five years at an accounting firm in Tampa. Providing continuity to the firm’s clients and their families was a driving factor in Will and Bill’s mutual decision to partner together. “We wanted to show our clients what they mean to us, and that we are here for them for the long term,” says Bill.

Bill obtained his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Syracuse University, where he was a wide receiver on the football team. He is passionate about deep sea fishing and hunting. When he’s not at work, he can be spotted on his boat, the Chase Scene.
